Selected images from the Drake series.

A scarred metal surface in graphite and near-black, marked by two large bloom formations of corrosion: the left cool and ashen, dispersing into pale speckle, the right radiating hot orange and gold from a dense center. Small nodules and droplets scatter across the lower field, with a two-holed disc at bottom center and a torn label at upper right.

A horizontal band of corrosion crosses a dark, scoured metal plate. At center, a large irregular deposit in pale gold, cream, and white spreads with a thick lobed edge; to its left the band thins into rust-brown and acid-yellow speckle, ending in a dense yellow patch at the left margin. The surrounding surface is burnished graphite streaked with fine scratches, and a spray of fine gold particles drifts across the lower right.

A dark, near-black metal plate carries a large circular bloom of orange and ochre corrosion, its granular surface studded with grey and silver nodules and a pale patch near the top. The disc has a defined edge where the oxidation stops. A smaller, softer bloom rises at lower right, and loose flecks of orange scatter across the left third of the field.

A dark metal plate holds three distinct areas of corrosion: an elongated orange-gold form at the left edge, a bright cream and white deposit rising through the center with granular yellow spilling below it, and a broad soft-edged ochre stain filling the right third. Fine scratches, shallow craters, and small dark pits mark the surrounding surface, and a scatter of orange particles drifts between the three forms.

A luminous silver-grey surface, softer and more atmospheric than the rest of the series, with light pooling across the upper half. Bursts of yellow and orange corrosion scatter through the middle band like sparks or spray, each surrounded by fine dark speckle. The lower portion gathers into shadowed drifts and pale ashen bloom, and a horizontal dark form crosses the bottom edge.
